davie allan / joel grind

Nabbed this on a rare visit to Probe records today, easily the coolest sleeve we’ve seen in a fair old while. This slab of bad-ness comes pressed up on 10 inches of scorching hot wax housed in the aforementioned eyeballs on stalks inducing zombie biker art gouged sleeve, on the grizzled grooves a split side gathering of Davie Allan and Joel Grind dropping two cuts apiece, the former mentioned cutting up the tarmac with some frenzied punch you out cold fuzz scowling twang-a-rama courtesy of the scuzzed out surf-a-delic ‘recycled too’ and the aptly titled ‘buzz saw’ coming on dripped in mutant ‘peter gunn’ riffola whilst mooching amid Link-esque shade adorned laser rays. As to the brace of Joel Grind grooves over on the flip, ‘peacekeeper’ hits home like a full on heads down no nonsense skull popping scowler while best moment of the set ‘the invisible landscape’ is classic old school riff rumbling Dick Dale rock-a-hula.  http://joelgrind.bandcamp.com/album/davie-allan-joel-grind-split
