haunted dancehall mix

To be truthful, not the intended Halloween mix tape we were promising, that’ll be looming large later. This one however was posted by DJ Fact 50 a few years ago, a spook-a-rama ramble through shivering shellacs, all these tracks coming sourced from 1920 to 1938, a wonderfully wry slab of fun fright with some corkers to boot not least the amazing guitar screeches and groans on Truett and George’s ‘ghost dance’ or the Duke’s amazing ‘black and tan fantasy’ with its merry macabre brass haunting and lest we forget Louis Armstrong’s spooked out swing ‘skeleton in the closet’. https://www.mixcloud.com/vernianjosh/spookeasy-haunted-dancehall-mix-1920-1938-halloween-week-3-mix/
