contrail vanishing point

Described by its author as ‘(a track that) commemorates Armistice day and tells the story of a World War 1 veterans recollections of an ambiguous and tragic story of an enemy collaborator’, this is ‘the clock’ by Contrail Vanishing Point. A newly peeled cut stilled in a solemn stateliness and mournfully traced in sparsely toned ghost lights whose haloing spectral echoes craft out the kind of haunted atmospheric introspection that loosely orbits Roy Budd’s ‘get carter’ soundtrack though here moored upon a sorrowfully amorphous palette of blissful dream drifting lights lowered ambient noir. One we suspect ripe for the kranky and hidden shoal purists.
