Oh wow, well I never saw this coming, new stuff from Pram, an album no less by the name ‘across the meridian’ for Domino, this taster being ‘shimmer and disappear’ and quite frankly its worth the wait. backdropped by a deliciously old school animation / stop motion video, think early everything, this ‘un sounds like some long lost space suite from a forgotten Century 21 episode of ‘Stingray’ or ‘Fireball XL5’ with an embryonic Broadcast in cahoots with a pre electronic obsessed Raymond Scott during his power house era with its brassy marching fanfares seasoned around a host (Holst – ahem) of spacey squiggles. Adorably addictive.
