pale lights

Not wishing to put noses out of joint, Pale Lights side of the split sees them taking up the unenviable task of rephrasing Lake Ruth’s quite beautifully arrested ‘through the lychgates’ – a tall order indeed given the original was pretty much faultless and immaculate. Still, you discount the creative aplomb of Pale Lights at your peril for here, they completely deconstruct and rewire their variation into something that subtly kicks and caresses with a hushed harmonic smokiness that lollops, lilts and lulls with drift dimpled opining riffs and an astutely cool jangle pop pristine that radiates with a becoming effervescent glow masking a tear scratched sorrowed yearn.
